The point of Financial Market Reader is to objectively evaluate technical analysis formulas using a pattern-matching algorithm.
For example, the last 10 times that a five-day stochastic looked like this, over the next week, the stock increased x% of the time and produced a return of y%. Keep in mind, that this isn’t a promise. We’re just using the most similar periods in the past to get an idea of what is likely to happen in the future.
The process is similar to counting cards in Vegas. You’re more likely, but not guaranteed, to win.
Also, market, sector, and industry signals are produced by summing individual stock forecasts. The result is what we call “Future Breadth”.
A good place to start a top-down search for an investment idea is the Market Forecast page.
If you just want to check the prognosis for a particular stock, click on the Company Forecast page.
