Little Leaguer Injured In Mishap

Chrislip City Policeman Ken Pomeroy was suspended without pay last Wednesday after an incident at the Little League ballfield north of town.

Officer Pomeroy was clocking pitchers with his radar gun when he evidently drew his service revolver by mistake and shot 11-year-old Bobby Larson in the shoulder. Bobby was hospitalized in stable condition, and is expected to miss his next few starts.

Pomeroy is seeking reinstatement on the grounds that "it was just a silly mistake. One gun feels pretty much like the other."
