PURCHASE ADDITIONAL VOICES

If you are unhappy with the FMReader default voice, you can replace it with any of the following high-quality voices.  Also, each of these voices are compatible with the MP3 export feature, even though the  the default FMReader voice is not.  I personally use the NeoSpeech Paul voice with exporting Web pages to MP3.

NeoSpeech SAPI5 Voices Kate and Paul.  NeoSpeech. Kate and Paul are US English voices, available in 16khz or 8khz versions, supporting SAPI5 Speech applications including most newer TTS programs from other companies, as well as TTS functions built into Windows XP. Each voice requires slightly under 300mb of disk space, and is available on CD or via download. They support speed and pitch adjustments, and require a minimum of Pentium II, 400mhz with 128mb RAM.

AT&T Natural Voices.  AT&T Natural Voices are the worlds most advanced and human sounding Text To Speech (TTS) voices.

Cepstral SAPI5 TTS Voices.  Exciting new voices from Cepstral. are now available for only $29.95 each. These high quality voices take up less disk space (average less than 50mb) than most premium voices, do not use as much processor power, and are very fast when creating audio files.
